Emblematic Projects and Technological Superiority
DEC has spearheaded some of the largest and most demanding pumped-storage projects worldwide, such as:
- The Jilin Dunhua Station (1.4 GW): A massive project featuring four Francis-type turbine units, each with a capacity of 350MW.
- The Shandong Yimeng Station (1.2 GW): A project with four pump-turbine units, each with a capacity of 300MW, with DEC being the supplier of the turbines and generators.
DEC supplies pump-turbine hydroelectric units that cover a head range of 50m to 850m and unit capacities ranging from 10MW to 450MW. DEC has supply contracts for over 60 sets of pump-turbine units in total. Notably, the four units for the Changlongshan HPP represent the second-highest water head globally and the highest in China.
